Default Switch thats flush with dash?

I just installed some LEDs in my clear reflectors and have them wired to a switch down by the gas cap release button, but I am wanting to put a switch in one of the spaces above that where TCS would be (I have a Base model) that would look flush with the dash pieces.

Does anybody know of one that would work that I just need to attach my 2 wires to?

One like in this post would be awesome (about half way down):
https://my350z.com/forum/8903463-post22.html
but I pmd him and he didnt remember where he got it.

Would a VDC button work? I could just repaint it and put a new picture/text on it.

Thanks

Not sure where to get that specific switch, but you can just pop the blank out and drill a hole for a nice looking switch.

Take a look here:

http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-ro...itches/=gg4trj

What you're looking for is called a "rocker switch".

Thatll prolly be my last resort thanks for the link tho.

If I bought an extra VDC switch, would I be able to wire my setup to it and it work properly?

yes im sure that would be fine to do.

i use these, and they are not easy to get tho.. ebay, from China only, use this seller clifford james/shawn star electronics only, the others are HORRIBLE.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/270906839520...84.m1439.l2649

these exact ones are 12 v and latching on/off spdt, you really wont use the normally on pin.. and look very nice at night in red. very low key.

Look at the VDC switch. You need one line in and one out for ON/OFF operation. There are two addition lines for illumination.

Why don't you just wire them to the parking lights?

The switch in the 2nd pic that says SNOW looks like it would work perfect (I can rebrand it to LED or something)! But I cannot find any website that has it for sale for the life of me...

You can always order it from the dealership or at least ask them for the part number and search in the internet.
And how are you planning to rebrand that switch?
I need to do mine also and I have no idea what to start with...

Well I was going to try and use some rubbing alcohol first and see if that works, but if it doesnt ill just spray paint it black again and make a stencil with the shape or letters I want to put on it (havent decided what I want to call it yet lol) and paint them white

If you do that, put a matte clear over it to prevent rubbing off the white letters.

If you look at other switches from the LED push button switch, at the bottom of the page are "other listings", and there is a low-key black button with a red LED light in it. That'd work very well.

Im not quite sure what you mean, where is this "other listings" place youre talking about?

And 122554, does that work pretty much exactly like the VDC switch would? If so, I might go with the VDC switch over that since it has illumination wired into it.

They might, does anybody know the dimensions of those blanks/VDC/TCS buttons? I would prefer something that fits in that spot exactly so the VDC button might be the best bet, but I would really rather not pay $40 for one..

They also sell just general rocket switches at Advance Auto and places like that. You might visit one of your local auto parts stores and see what they can hook you up with. Pep Boys is a good one too.

For example:

It just depends on what you're looking for, but auto parts stores generally have tons of Rocker switches, or they even have Push/Pull switches which are kinda cool.
