Default Loctite on radio antenna?

Hello,

I've had an issue with my antenna being stolen more than once now (haters ) and tomorrow I'm going to purchase a new shorty antenna, so I obviously don't want it to happen again.

If I put loctite on the threads will I have any reception issues or something? The only downfall I can think of is going to an automatic car wash, but I very rarely do that anyway as I prefer to wash it myself.

Thanks guys

i don't think loctite is gonna keep it on with a hard twist. I always hand wash my car because it can't fit on the tracks but if Ii could I would definitely utilize it more due to convenience especially in the winter months. My car pretty much doesn't get washed in the winter because of that reason.

If somebody is set on grabbing it, they'll get it off. I dont think that'll stop them.

Just take it off if your car is somewhere where it might get lifted. Takes all of 30 seconds to put it back on when you get back to your car. PITA...maybe, but if I had already lost a couple I would probably consider-
