Does anybody have the Pioneer NAV-SYS610T installed in their
vehicle who could offer insight on the advantages and disadvantages compared to the stock nav.? Thanks!

the 610 is the older package pioneer has to offer, it doesn't have touch screen, therefore everything will have to be done with a clunky remote... the actual user interface (if you don't mind using a remote) is good. Spring for the NAV-SYS910DVD package and you will have touch-screen and THAT is the best navigation unit on the planet.

Install is around $300. This is my next project. I will put the flip up screen unit where my Pioneer is now and the Nav unit will go in the pocket behind the seat next to my 6 disc changer.
Some stereo shops are charging over $4K to buy and install this same unit. Way cheaper online.

Check this out....according to Etronics, the Pioneer NAV-SYS610T is a touch screen module ($1379). It does not have the receiver/tuner that the NAV-SYS910DVD does. If somebody can confirm this I will be the guinea pig. Will a 6.5" screen fit in the Nav. compartment though or will it need some type of trim ring?
