Default Anyone have the Pioneer AVIC-9DVD Unit?

This unit provides NAV and plays movies without an adaptor. Anyone have it in their car?

I'm thinking about having one installed next week (a guy at the local car stereo store bought one at cost and never installed it......getting a great deal and the unit is brand new).

The head unit goes in the stock cubby hole location behind the driver and the touchscreen (Pioneer W6210) goes in the stock NAV screen area.

Depends on the price. You can get a Pioneer AVIC-N1 for about $1500 or less online. Its an all in one/DVD/Nav and you don't need to use your cubby hole either. Just a thought.

I have a touring and want the look to stay stock. Bought the screen from HanKys Z for $250. Paying $650 for the new head unit and $100 cash for the install.....$1000 total, totally stock look, with touchscreen NAV and movies.

You have to custom install the W10 into the cubby area (it is too big as stock). ejmills2000 has done it (se recent Pioneer posts)

AVIC-9DVD head......W6210 screen, which is needing some modification to fit properly. 2004 upgrade to system is the CNDV 40 MT disc.
