Default Need advice for adding NAV to BOSE

I think I eventually want DVD, NAV, and a new stereo with HU, speakers, amp(s), and one 10" sub. But I want to do this in pieces. I was hoping to start with the NAV and screen.

Can somebody give me a little advice for trying to do this in pieces? That is, what do I need to connect the NAV into the BOSE system, if anything. And is there a smart way to go about this, like doing it all at once so I don't need any pieces that might not be necessary once the whole system is in? I want a stand alone DVD with a screen in the NAV compartment, not a pop-up screen in the head unit.

Thanks for the help!!!
Andy

I installed the Alpine setup (TME-M760 Monitor and NVE-N852A Nav System) about a year ago. Great addition. I added XM and a Pioneer DVD player about 6 months ago. All work well together. I also have no complaints about the Bose system. There are some great posts that can offer help with installation. With new stuff on the market now, you could probably get all the hardware I installed for $2000 - $2500.

Thanks. I think I want about that same setup. I was thining more about it after I posted and I guess you can do the NAV alone because it has a speaker?? If not, I guess you need some type of RF converter??

How do you like the screen?

Thanks. Andy

Screen is excellent. It's automatic ambient light adjustment feature works very well. Its a bit wider than the opening for the factory Nav screen so a little plastic needs to be removed. I'm very happy with it. In fact, I'm very pleased with all the Apline stuff.
