Default Left side speakers go out with CD

Hi i have a 2004 350z roadster with the bose system (no navigation). The speakers are fine unless I play a cd, the left side speakers (with sub) immediately go out when the CD function is used. ANyone know how to fix this? I am assuming there is a connection behind the head unit specific to the speaker function? Any advice would be helpful.

that 100% means its an internal issue w the deck itself and is NOT the wiring. Take it , send it to be repaired or buy a used one off the site from another member. . used to do this for a living back in the day, you can be confident of my advice.

thanks for the advice. I figured that. It was bothering me for about two weeks as the sound would go in out of the left side for about a week, now I have no left side at all when CDs are being played. WOnder if it is worth it to just get an aftermarket unit.

bmccann101 is most likely right, hes got alot of experience but i still wanna throw an odd ball in there just as a a possibility. how many CDs have you tried? and what type of CD? if not more than one it may be the CD it self because the disc may have been burned that way. or the songs may have been recorded that way ( for example when you hear a song and the sound seems to bounce between speakers) just thought id throw that in there for you. good luck with fixing it! still havent gotten around to fixing the stock bose amp.

What he said.

Output signals from the head unit is the same whether you are playing the radio or CD. The problem is internal. You can find a used head unit on eBay for cheap.

My two cents, I know some people when they remove the head unit and clean the connectors the sound comes back. I was going to do this but ended up trading my car so i didn't bother. Also I was looking at replacing the Bose unit, I hear you have to look for adaptor so the the aftermarket HU works with the Bose speakers. Bose are a like quirky.

My car does this all the time, specifically only with certain cd's i play. I just give the plastic on the drivers side of the center console deck a whack with my fist and it works fine everytime.

I do the same thing. I feel just like the Fonz when the channel comes back on.
