I have the 2006 Enthusiast with base radio and the radio occasionally stops putting out any sound or it comes in clips with silence inbetween. I don't believe it is the antenna because "ST" is still showing and not flickering indicating signal loss, what do you all think the issue could be? It's any station and I haven't seen if it does it with CDs yet

Yea, try a cd. If it does not do the sound issue. Then maybe somehow your antenna came loose or wiring behind the radio came loose.

 

So it does the same thing with the CD, I found out that any volume above 18 it starts to do it, getting very frequent 20+. Anyone heard of this issue? Sounds like a defective head unit to me which makes me laugh considering I bought the car from the dealer two days ago

 

Figured it out, previous owner had apparently thrown some JBLs in the rear with crossover for the woofer and tweeter and when I spliced in for my subs I spliced after the crossover in the woofer line which I suppose is causing some issues. Will be splicing back of the crossover tomorrow hopefully will fix it.
