so when i bought my 2006 z it came with a pioneer touchscreen display. for the most part i love it but it barely gets any signal when i put it on the FM radio setting. i asked the previous owner if it had always had the same problem and he said he only ever used the ipod integration part of it. i dont know if a wire didnt get connected properly when it was installed or if this is just a common problem with aftermarket systems. please help.

 

Take it out and make sure the antenna wire is all the way in the radio. Also, which antenna is on the back of your Z?

 

Wrong - the OP forgot to hook up power to the antenna amplifier. Several threads on this.

I had that happen when I installed my stereo and just had to get the antenna amp to turn on
