Default Checking head unit compatibility

ive just bought an 04 zed and Im looking to upgrade my bose head unit as many already have. just wanted to check if this head unit is compatible to make all the speakers work and sub. As well as make use of the steering wheel controls as well.

Will work. Just installed the HU into my '06 Z.

You will have to verify you get the correct harness adapter because the non bose is a different plug.

This Harness adapter is what you would need.

Steering wheel controls will be another adapter.

I do not have steering wheel controls so do not quote me on that exact adapter. But its an example.

ok thanks for the reply. Did you get the bluetooth working with the mic that's already in the car?

I'll go and buy it today and see how far I get.

I didn't have Bose in the Z. I am extremely familiar with Bose and JBL setup and aftermarket Audio equipment.

As far as the Mic goes I would have no idea if it would work. I used the one included and stuck it up by my rearview mirror and ran wire behind the A Pillar. External mics are better than integrated ones.

The mic from the Bose might be internal (Not sure)
