Default Pioneer Wiring Harness

I figured it was time to update the audio in my ride since the times (and tech) has changed since I installed my AVIC-D3 back in 08. I recently purchased the AVH-8500bhs and was wondering * if * I would be able to simply unplug the existing harness I am using and reuse (I doubt I am that lucky but I have hope).

I did some research online and have read that Pioneer changed their harness in 2011. Has anyone else upgraded from a AVIC-D3 to an AVH-8500bhs recently?

Finally got some time to start the tear down process of my AVIC-D3 setup. In case anyone else is looking to do this the Pioneer wiring harnesses between the two units are indeed different

If you Z has a Bose system you many need to look into a PAC ROEM-NIS2 wiring harness. It allows you to adjust the gain on each speaker. Without it your volume may be to loud.
