So Im going to be installing a new HU in my 06 this weekend. I want to be able to hook up the illumination wire from the new HU to the stock harness. Does any one know or know where I can find out what color wire is used on the Bose plug?

 

Are you using the Metra or PAC harness?

 

I don't use a harness. That's why I need to know which wire to tap in the stock Bose harness.

 

Are you going to cut off the plugs? Why would you do that?

 

Lol, no I'm not doing that. I use external amps so using the stock wiring harness isn't really needed. I tap 2 fuses,one battery and one accessory. Add a ground and the remote wire for the amps and that's it.

 

I just installed a HU in my car but mine is non-bose. The illumination wire for me was orange and orange/white on the HU side.
