Specific H/U advice
Hi everyone. I've searched and read and searched and read some more...and the general consensus is that the stock Bose system sucks. I get that.
I travel a lot in my Z (2004 Touring 6MT) for work. I used to travel a lot in my Maxima. I traded the Maxima on a 2013 Camry which has a Touchscreen radio with BT, USB, & AUX. I can't say how much I like having my Galaxy S3 paired to the car's audio system for streaming and phone calls, not to mention the 8GB microSD card I keep in the USB port.
My Z has the stock Bose system w/ an XM radio they sent me when I tried to cancel my subscription because the I traded my XM radio (stock Maxima radio). I'm not a fan of the XM radio setup and I'm on the phone a lot while I'm on the road.
I understand the benefits of "rip and replace" of the Bose system. That might happen someday, but the audio quality is secondary to the functionality I'd like to gain.
Could I please get some recommended H/Us (Brand, model, ballpark price) that will take the place of my stock Bose CD changer/Tape H/U that will work with minimal effort/adapters and still function w/ the existing Bose "crap"?
Thanks!

Buy a ROEM-NIS2 so an aftermarket deck will work with the Bose system and take your pick of head units:

Any known issues with either the Pioneer AVH-X3500BHS or Kenwood DDX470. They seem to be pretty comparable spec-wise and prices are within $30 of each other.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 running CM10, so all the iPod/iPhone integration is wasted on me. Other than BT are either of these H/U's apps controllable by an Android phone?

Pioneer AppRadio runs droid and functionality on a 7" touchscreen. Everyhting your phone does (nav, Pandora, vidieo (and BT), music library is available.
Then get DashCommand and the ECU reader to display engine data as a set of gauges
