Clean way to install satellite radio
#21
haha.. well... In a few weeks I am most likely getting a sub of some sort added, as well as having my amp swapped out because of what appears to be a manufacturing defect. Right now Its really not sounding its best. After I get that stuff squared away I would be hapy to drop by. I'll post something up about what I went with on the sub front when it happens. Ron and I are discussing a new freeair option which he hasn't tried before. I may get to be the test dummy again :-p

EMail me when you're heading over there. I'll be sure to stop by for a minute or 2. ANd how is he planning to do the subs free air...port them to outside the car? I know of a guy who has 4 id10's freeair in his eclipse, and that's pretty much how he did it. Threw the subs in his spare tire well, sealed them in very well, cut a whole in the spare well, and let it get air through that. Then he covered the whole with gortex material. Just a thought...

what you are talking about sounds like an aperiodic membrane type install. I looked into the option, but decided I wanted to do as little modification to the car as possible. We are most likely just going free-air in the stock spot, but with a new free-air sub from Diamond Audio. Don't know if it even officially out yet. I will give you a PM or an e-mail when I'm further along.
