This is how easy it is to control the mp3's. Sorry it’s blurry. If any one wants to buy the touch screen let me know. $310 shipped.

Bad ***. You are using the Media Engine Skin I made. I was just messing around one day and decided to make it. Anyway, i am glad someone is getting a good use out of it. I don't have an in car PC.

Curious what nav software you are using? Does the data base cover Canada?

Thanks, Perry

What are the specs of that screen? What resolution does it support? And what inputs does it have?

I am very interested in buying it. Is the picture sharp? When you play DVD's on it, does the picture blur between frames? does the picture look grainy? Can you post a higher quality pic of the screen???

Thanks for the skin I love it. Plus I have the copper z so it looks like its just made for my car. My only complaint about the skin is that you don’t have outside apps button and the shutdown button for the whole computer. But other then that I love it. Good job. Oh and get a car pc you’ll love it.

5. Switching AC adapter
6. Car 12V adapter
7. User Manual
8. Installation CD (touch screen) with drivers for DOS, windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, ME, and XP

The picture is very sharp, it looks a lot better then my laptop screen. I did not have a chance to play dvd’s on it because my laptop does not support dvd’s. I only played vcd movies and there was not freezing up or anything. Movies look whole lot better then they do on the laptop screen.

The only problem that I noticed is that it flickers when I first start it. This is hard to see and you can only see it when you look really hard at the screen. But then the flickering goes away. I think it just needs to worm up a bit because it did not flicker when it was in my house. And its 2 degrees outside right now so im guessing that’s why.
The major problem that I found is that when it’s really sunny outside its a little hard to see the screen. But then again I have no tints and that happens to every lcd screen. I will take some pic’s when I get my car back.

Copper,
Excellent Job....

Looks like the top and bottom on the screen is cut off in the picture. Also what did you do with the controls for the display. Did you reroute them?

I have been thinking about putting a laptop in my car or a PS2/Xbox for DVD play back but I really haven't desided on a screen yet.

I read a lot of posts on this screen several weeks ago over at mp3car.com, and all the defects have me scared to death of the thing. I wish I could get over my nervousness, and I'd get one

The top is not cut off. The bottom seems like it is, only on the pictures though because that plastic piece is in the way of the camera and I was holding the camera low.

The controls are under that same plastic piece and I control it with the remote. I did not even have to drill a hole for the signal to go thru because there is a little hole in there already for the door lock.

MannishBoy, I read the carMp3 reports as well, I heard nothing but good things about it. there is only a 3% defective rate on lilliput screen’s. Please let me know where you saw the reports.

Here for instance.

I went through about 3 pages of posts, and found several others with issues from flickering to bad pixels to touchscreens not working.

*shrug*

Hi CopperZ,

Did you use the instrument panel lid for navigation sys or the lid for non navigation system?

Thanks,
Az
