Has anyone else experienced this? I have a 2004 350z and this issue has happened to me 4 times now.

This is what happens....I simply use the remote to unlock the door and when I open the door, I notice the Radio is on! ??

Any ideas on why/how this could happen? BTW...stock stereo - base model.

hell, my radio comes on every time I open the dash compartment above the radio.

 

Hi Wade, The previous owner of your 350z altered the car’s wiring, connecting the H/U to continuous power wire controlled by the FOB/Alarm.

Chrysler does this in Jeep models, but the opposite way (i.e., the radio remains ON after you close the IGN switch, and turns OFF when you open a door).

You will need to pull the H/U to fix this. Expose the wiring, find the lead that goes to the alarm’s continuous wiring, and run this wire to an ignition switched hot wire.
