Amp in Roadster trunk? ...has anyone done it?
I was going to do a JL Audio 500/5 but I think i'll use the JBL GTO5355 since it's a lot smaller. I want to mount it vertically on the trunk wall that separates the convertible top. I don't want to mount it in the cubby's.
Has anybody done this type of install?

seems to me without looking of course that if you put your top down , then measure the foot print of your amp and height, then measure the space you intend to mount that amp when the top is down , you will see if it fits
if you are limited on space you can go with a digital amp , they take up roughly 50% of the space a conventional amp uses

jdmfetish - Thank you but the top compartment is separated from the trunk. If I remember correctly popping the panel off reveals a steal or aluminum wall, which is where I want to mount the amp.
- Thanks for that pic. It does look like roadster trunk. I would love to know how the power and speaker wires were run! That is the 500/5 that I have, but in order for it to cool properly it is supposed to be mounted vertically with the heat fins on top or facing upwards.

I love the subs but I already have a box and I want to keep the stock glove. The bottom pic is what I meant by mounted on the wall.
[Props to Marz at ZClub Aussie].
