Question How Much Dynamat is Needed?

Hello, I am getting ready to order a Roadster to be delivered sometime in june/july and I am doing some research on Dynamat. I have used it before and I was amazed at the difference it made with the sound quality. I am planning to replace the factory speakers with Infinity's and get a small powered infinity sub for the trunk.

Q: how many sheets of dynamat >>and type<< should I expect to buy in order to cover the trunk, doors, and rear speaker area? Also do you recommend purchasing the dynamat trunk kit?

Thank you for all of you help!

For my coupe I purchased the entire kit. Ran about $119. Did the doors and the rear trunk. Extreme Dynamat rocks.

Yea, I agree. I ordered the entire kit off of eBay for somewhere around $90-$100. It was enough to do both doors, around the rear speakers, and most of the area around the driver side rear compartment (where I built in a custom sub box).

Beats the heck out of going to Circuit City or Best Buy and spending $45 on just one roll (the kit had 9 sheets alltogether).

Local stereo outlets wanted $249. Can you believe that?

I have the trunk kit installed in my hatch and think that it made the Bose sound much better. I have semi loud exhaust and now nothing in the car rattles or buzzes either. It works good.
