I didn't even make it 1 lap around the track before the camera flew off the follow car. Surprisingly the camera still functions properly with some scratches and small cracks on the body. CANON FTW!

See this at the track all too often.

How bad would you have felt if it hit someone else's car? Your wallet would have felt bad thats for sure.

Glad the camera still works, bring a better rig next time.

Most professional cameras are built to withstand quite a bit of abuse.
Hence "professional" equipment. But a shitty looking camera is a shitty looking camera so us mortals treat them like babies.

 

So now I know what my pet cat saw the first time I took it racing.
