Tapping the stock speaker wires ?

Has anyone removed the stock Bose amp and tapped into the stock wires at the amp location ?

pros and cons ?

Yes. I ran my speaker's amp right to the trunk and tapped into the stock speaker harness. Ground/power/remote for the amp I ran new wires.
You can find the image on google for the pinout of the harness
