Default Help please on speaker setup

First off I have to thank everyone for getting me this far.

I installed a new JVC Deck, all speakers, sub. My back speakers I ran new wire. My Front I used the factory wire. This is where my problem starts. The fronts wont work using factory wire. From what I read I can't due to amps ect. My question is.... a easy way to wire the front speakers.. I dont really wont to pull threw the door. can I splice into the factory wire at the door where it comes in?? If so what color or one is it? Is there a better way? I have the Roadster model. If anyone can help much thanks.

Hi, you can definitely use the factory wires, but I won't recommended it because they are very thin. Are you using a harness for the Nissan, I recommend it especially because you are planning to use the factory wiring. It will make thing a lot easier since everything is color coded the same way. If you are not, the coloring of the wires for the front speakers to the headunit are as follows:

right front + Gray
right front - Gray / Black
left front + White
left front - White/ Black

At Both doors (at least for nonBose system):

+ is red
- is blue

Hope this helps.

There's a little plug looking thing on the harness where it comes to the inside of the door. There's 3 red wires and 3 blue wires going in to it. It's just a splitter thing (instead of a real crossover of course) and I believe the middle red and middle blue wires are the ones that go to the plug behind the headunit. You can check this with a multitester before cutting anything: use a flathead screwdriver to pop the insert inside this plug thing out. You can see where it's pressed together on the opposite side of the wire inputs. The center part is actually like 2 E shapes to split the red and blues into 2 outputs. With this removed, you can use a multitester or test light maybe to check which one goes to the headunit plug.
