Default Recommendations on selecting a new head unit

I bought my 2004 350z base less then a year ago and it came with a pioneer avh5700dvd. I like the unit but it has got to go, the calibration is way off, like to the point I can't even use the touchscreen anymore. At this point I looked up how to calibrate it and when I tried I found out a large portion of the screen is unresponsive, likely due to the previous owner putting to much pressure on the screen.

Now about the new head unit. It must be a fm radio (I don't listen to any am stations) that has either USB port or aux port either is fine both are not necessary, cd player is a plus but not necessary, I do like the flip up touchscreen but it is not necessary. Cheaper is better for my wallet because I have alot going on financially at the moment but I can't stand not being able to use over half of the screen, not to mention the previous owner wired the current head unit up poorly. The DVD, navigation, and who knows what all other features are useless due to not hooking up all the wires I have not pulled the unit out to see how hacked the wiring job is because I figured that was pointless since I planned on replacing it because of the faulty screen.

Questions:
1. Do you want a DD unit?
2. Is navigation important?
3. Tell us about your budget (how much are you willing to spend).
4. Are you connecting external amplifiers?
5. Are you connecting a SubW?

Today's H/U's will have USB connections and an AUX port. CD/DVD drives are disappearing.

1. Yes a dd unit my z is my dd I also own a first gen. jeep grand cherokee (zj) for bad weather
2. No navigation is not important, I have my phone for that
3. Under $200 for sure under $100 would be nice I know I'm not going to get anything near the current head unit for that but I don't need anything fancy just something that works
4. Yes one amplifier, also came with the car can't remember the make/model/wattage but it's not much I know for sure it's no more than 800 watts peak 400 rms
5. Yes one 10" kicker cvt (it's a compact sub) I'm not one of those looking for insane bass I just wanted a little something more than the factory (non bose) system offered
6. Thank you for asking these questions I thought I had explained everything above but now see how much I left out and for actually trying to help me out!

Didn't know people actually talk about head units anymore when no one is going to make any recommendations on sub-$200 audio gear.

Go here: https://www.crutchfield.com/

I got one of these back in 2015 for a song (no pun intended). I absolutely love the way this HU sounds. Compared to my old JVC, this thing has been a night and day improvement.

If you can find one that's new, old stock, I'd highly recommend it.

Buttons FTW! This is one of the reasons I'm still rockin' an Alpine CDA-117. However its getting harder and harder to find anything with real button, everything is touchscreens. Really not a fan of them in a car where you have to keep your eyes on the road. Guess it just easier to move to Apple Car Play or Android Auto and use voice recognition?

Get on ebay and order a cheap 7" double din like this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Boss-Audio-S...wI9dZlHfx#rwid

I have all boss audio in my Z minus my head unit(which came with the car) I have used boss audio in my geo metro, my limousine. Never any problems.
