It all depends on the area you are located, I have the aluminum shorty from courtesy nissan and the reception is fine, others have the same one and say reception is horrible, I heard the s2000 ones work great regardless.

I have no feedback on the S2000 antenna. I got the 3.5" Chrome from Courtesy, while the reception was Ok, the tip was weak and bent VERY easily. Had another that was about 10" long, while reception was Ok, just didn't look good. Was bent during shipment and never was able to straighten. Finally settled in on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8, Perrin Shorty Antenna from jscspeed.com. Looks GREAT, perfect fit and reception is GREAT! A little costly, $36 with s/h, but well worth it.

I got one and i'm near NYC. reception is pretty much the same. AM loses some range, but who cares right . Plus I got one for 15 bux on the net. Easy to replace if someone steals it.
