I have 2005 350Z Convertible with adjusted sound system.
Sony XAV AX100
Door speaker Ground Zero GZIC 16X
Sub Woofer Alpine rw10d2
Amplifier JBL Club 4505
I'm missing mid bass in the front speakers.
I'm thinking of replacing the front speakers for Focal ES165K. I already printed new Speaker pods so they wont hit the door panel.
I bought sound deadening stuff which I will install later.
But I don't know if this is the solution.
Do you guys have some tips?
That's odd, it's possible your door speakers are simply shot (assuming all the wiring is good/correct) or maybe the cross-over is faulty? Is this an older system or new? Has this problem always been present or just recently start?
I'll admit I'm not an audio-file, but I've done my share of car audio installations and understand the key points when choosing components.
Your amp specs might give a clue. You might simply be under-driving the speakers if you're running at 4-ohms.
