Amp suggestions
I currently am running a POS amp and am looking for something nice. I have Infinity kappa perfects up front and no rear speakers...I do not intend on adding any...I do plan on adding a subwoofer which I currently have, it is rated at 300 watt rms and my speakers are 100 watts rms a piece. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

I used an Alpine MRV-F450. It's a 5-channel, but can be easily set up for 4 or 3 channels. It also fits perfectly into the storage compartment behind the passenger seat. I think I paid $250-300 for it.

I have a stock (non-Bose) HU, Alpine SPR-176A (6 1/2 2 way component) in front, Alpine SPR-174A (6 1/2 Coax) in rear, an Infinity Kappa Perfect 10VQ 10" subwoofer in the stock sub location and the Alpine amp. I haven't put in the sub yet - the wiring is all in place, now I'm just waiting for UPS to bring me my sub! So far (w/o the sub) it sounds great - I'm looking forward to getting the sub put in, tuning the amp, and seeing how the whole system sounds.
I also Dynamatted doors, under the seats and the rear bulkhead - planning on doing under rear hatch, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Here are the specs for the MRV-F450 (from Crutchfield):
50 watts RMS x 4 + 200 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms
60 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms + 200 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms
120 watts RMS x 2 + 200 watts RMS x 1 in bridged mode
2-, 3-, 4-, or 5-channel output
When I was looking to buy this amp across the internet, some place had this advertised as an 850 watt amp, but I don't know how that was calculated - I'm a bit of a novice with this stuff.

120 watts RMS x 2 + 200 watts RMS x 1 in bridged mode that seems like it should give me plenty of power for my sub and my two speakers. Did you get this anyplace in particular?

I ordered my equipment thru discountjungle.com. Found them on Yahoo shopping. They are cheap and they turn orders around very quickly - for example, I ordered my Infinity sub on Monday afternoon and it came this afternoon via UPS ground. I think they are in California and I live in Texas - so pretty quick for ground service.
