Default FatMat / Dynomat Info

I thought I might put a little info out here for you all, in case some of you are as behind on the installs as I am.

I just installed 2 JL Audio 10's, in the rear consol...one in the factory location and the other where the glove box used to be. I obviously was in need of dynomat. I looked around the website, and saw that the flat mat was the same stuff.

Long story short, come to find out that my director of sales "dynomatted" his entire porsche and a couple of his VW's. The difference was that he got half of his stuff as "dynomat" and the other half from a roofing supply place. He says that you can't tell a difference. The only thing is that one says dynomat and is 3 - 4 times more expensive than the other.

Moral of the story, you might want to consider calling around to the roofing supply places if you need this stuff. I got a 34 ft long by 1 foot wide roll for $25. I would have gotten 2 12 x 12 sheets of dynomat for that price.

hopes this helps
