Default Putting System Together, Opinions Please

Here is what I have planned so far:

Keeping the stock HU for now and going with the AudioLink PD4 and harness.

Infinity Kappa A63.5I up front
Infinity Reference 6.5 in back
Infinity BassLink for the lows

As far as amps go, I am at a bit of a loss
I have been considering the Rockford Fossgate 551X
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=13433

I need the PreAmp out for the Basslink, and the power/cost seems ok.

Any opinions on this amp, or other ideas?

TIA

I used an Alpine 5-channel amp (FV450 or something like that) that fits perfectly into the rear compartment. I don't know if it would work with the BassLink, though...

The Basslink is already amped, it has a built in 200 watt amp. All I need is 4 chanels and preamp outs to run to the Basslink. I have found a few reviews about the RF amp and it seems to be liked by it's owners. I might just have to buy it if there isn't anyone out there with a bad opinion.

Many people are deciding to not replace the rear speakers. I decided to leave the factory ones there.

Since I did not need a 4 channel amp, I went with a 2-channel US Acoustics USB2100.

I would stray away from Rockford Fosgate, I personally don't think they are as prestigious as they used to be. Stray away from All Show, No Go brands like Audiobahn as well.

For the amp I'd look into some better brands like Phoenix Gold, Memphis or Alpine. Rockford simply hasn't progressed much in the past few years and I've heard a lot of people complain about heat dissipation issues.

For an awesome sub I'd look into JL Audio or Image Dynamics, and your mid-range looks good.

My budget is at about $1000 with me doing the install. The components above put me right there with shipping and a couple of amp install kits.

I actually jumped the gun and ordered everything already. I was set on Nismo exhaust all winter, but after driving the damn car this week, I realized that I need to upgrade the POS stereo before I drive the car into a lake.

Ordering the LOC today. Total cost shipped for all is $956.89

Wish me luck all. I will post what I think of the RF amp once installed, I talked to a couple of people who own this amp and they seem quite happy.
