im not much helping in comparing the two because i have never heard the JL components, but the perfects sound awesome. they produce good midbass and strong crisp highs (in fact i set the xovers at -3db for the highs). They would not disappoint you.

jl is known for their subs and amps, not much for components - if those two are your only choises, go with the infiniti perfects - i had them in my car and they sounded pretty good - if you really want good components do what i did - i dropped the infinities and went to focal - difference is unbelievable, but u pay for it in price - if u have some money to throw away, check out focal
www.focal.com

if you can spend a little more, but can't get focals, you can't go wrong with mbquart either

here is a pic of the infiniti's next to the focals - i took pics when i did the install - look at the difference in tweeters

Boston Acoustics is also a very nice choice. I would say pretty much MBQuart, Focal, Kappa Perfect, and Boston Acoustics are your best bets.

Do the 1" Perfect Tweeters that come with the Infinity Perfect 6.1 components fit in the factory location? I heard that the bose system uses 3/4" tweeters.

--Thanks

Anyone compare the new jl ZR series to the focal's? The ZR650-CSi list for $800 which is in the range of the focal's.

Yeah, I bought them. Then JL's "premier engineer" wanted a final demo of them and he was not satisfied. The release has now been pushed off to Mid-December. Gonna be a long wait !!!

When I head the JLs compared to the Infinitys, Infinity to me sounds better. If youre looking for a cheap alternatives, but still want good sound, check out the Boston Acoustics RC620 Components. I have these hooked up to an Eclipse 3434 headunit and they sound 1000x better than stock.
