Question 10' & 12' Sub Spare Tire Install....

What up fellas'!

I am exploring two (2) sub insatll options:

1. One 10' or 12' sub installed in the spare tire area (best to retain overall space).

2. A custom fiberglass enclosure under the brace (speakers firing towards the rear).

Now then, I will be using JL Ws line, and I want the absolute BEST low-frequency response! Meaning I want that **** to pound hard!

Now from what I have seen, read, heard, the " brace install" will probably hit hardest. But........ I really want to retain ALL the space I can. So then, I'd like to hear from you all who have indeed used the spare tire install including: speaker brand-size, amp/power, box material, etc. and the listening results....

Thanks in advance, Marcus

Here is what I did, (2) Rockford Fosgate 12's. Sounds really well.

Mine is a false floor concept. Tirewell tub is fiberglassed.

Hmmmm? That's a clean setup. Can you give me some detail about the box: dimensions/depth/material/weight?

Thanks.

I have a custom made box housing 2 JL 12's and admit that they dont sound as deep and thump like i want them. I had them shooting back in my Lexus GS 400 and it really hit the lows hard while keeping a lot of accuracy. I am discussing changing my setup this weekend hopefully. Just my opinion. PM me since i had the lexus as well.

Sorry, wish I could give you dimensions. All I know is each sub has approx .75-1.0 cubic feet.
