I'm looking for anyone that might be able to help me out. I have an Escort Solo S2 Cordless Radar Detector in my Z. I bought the cordless specifically so I could easily use the detector on my bike in the summer also.
The only place I can find to mount the detector on the bike is on the actual windshield. HOWEVER, I have a VERY DARK tinted windshield on the bike. Does anyone know what effects this will have on the performance of the radar detector?
Does anyone know how it actually detects the radar waves? I mean, on the bike, the actual detector is going to be outside in the actual air, will it reduce it's range of use simply by being behind a dark tint? (I realize that this will probably adversely affect the Lasar detection, but around here I have yet to see ANY Lasar in use.)
On a side note, does anyone else have any other ideas or lins to mounting location for a detetor on an '01 Suzuki Katana?
