I want to get a motorized head unit that is 6.5". Im leaning towards alpine. What model should I get. Im assuming that none of them play dvds also and I will need a dvd player. Any suggestions. How are the cva-1003,1004,1005, and 1006s. Thanks Guys!

 

Why don't you just get an IVA-900 or their newer one that is touch screen DVD/CD player and screen and kill two birds with one stone?

Why would you assume that? There are plenty of models that play DVD's, you are just going to play a lot more for them. It would probably be cheaper to get the model that only plays CD's and then get a seperate DVD player but then you have to mount that somewhere (if it is DIN size then it could be mounted in the dash). Before I would do that why not put the farenheit monitor (or what every model you want) in the stock NAV location and then buy a HU that has an Aux input and a DVD player (or like me buy a HU that plays DVD's, got mine for $500 it was on closeout, so for about $800 I have an in dash DVD player). But if you are dead set on the motorized monitor deal then at least make sure the model you get does play CD's and you don't just get a motorized monitor with just a AM/FM tuner. Look on Crutchfield.com, they have lots of models that play DVD's
