Default LCD Install and Other Questions

I have a couple of questions for you guys here that have maybe done this in the past or just know what to do here..

I just got my Xenarc LCD in and now I need some info on how to install it..

1. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to run an audio feed into the stock head unit? I have not had the dash apart yet, so I have no clue if there are inputs on the back.

2. Where is the best place to draw power from back there?? Could I splice into the h.u. power supply, or would that be too much draw on its' fuse?

3. Do you have to take apart the LCD housing to fit it back behind the storage box in the dash or can you leave it all intact?

4. I found directions on how to take apart the center console area, but the very first picture is missing and that is the step I need to start.. I had something to do with the shifter area, like pulling up on the silver ring I think, but I can't be for sure.. If anyone knows about this could ya help me out?

I think that this is it for now..

Thanks!

1) You need an FM tuner if you want Audio into your HU. It doesn't have any inputs.

2) You can use the HU's power, but make sure you use an in-line 1amp fuse when connecting since the screen use only 1amp (look at the plug that came with the screen, 1amp output on the transformer).

3) You have to take it apart or do some serious cutting of your dash. Double sided tape will hold it in place, as well as tie wraps (optional)

4) Yup, if it's manual, just grab the back part of the silver ring and pull up.

Thanks for the info!

Although, that sux about the no input havin stock garbage, but I guess that's pretty much true of any stock hu. oh well.

Sweet! I get to spend more money now!

One more question about the power wire to the HU, Am I safe to assume that it's RED like most other energy-consuming devices are, or is it some crazy nissan generated color for your wire hunting pleasure?

I know the constant power (battery) is Thick yellow one, in the first plug (the bigger one) in the center. Can't remember what color the ACC (ignition) wire is.
Get a digital Volt meter from Radio Shack, it's the best investment you can make. Its like 10-15 bux.
