Input on my setup
Ok after months of planning, I have decided on my audio system. So far, this is what I have bought or am going to buy for sure:
Pioneer Avh-p7500dvd Head unit
2 Jl 10w3v2 powered by a jl 500/1
Now I am stuck on what to do with the door speakers. I was thinking about either putting in Mb quart 6.5 inch premium components front and rear powered by a jl 300/4 (75 watts x 4). Or putting boston acoustics 6.5 pro or rally series in the front powered by a jl 300/2 (or bridged 300/4) and boston's fs6 coax's in the rear powered by the headunit?????
What do you guys think??? I want to stick with jl amps and i dont want anything bigger then the 300/4.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. I can't decide. Its drivin me nutz!

I would personally buy the 300/4, since you can run it bridged for the front speakers, and if you decide to, you can always "unbridge" it to power the rears. I have the 300/4 and I think it's a great amp. Mine is running a pair of JL XR 6.5 components in the front and some TR coaxes in the back. The sound quality is great.
the 300/4 is a great amp. The new Boston Pro 6.5's have a feature call biampable. which means you could run your 300/4 all to those speakers and they can handle it, that doesn't leave you anything for the rear but you won't need it, the Boston's will be more than enough. Don't know where you are getting them or how you fell about buying car stereo stuff online but this place has the best deals I have ever seen, $307 shipped for those boston's, unbelievable

As for the 10W3V2's, I had 2 also in my other car, I sold them because they didn't hit low enough for me, I bought a 12W6V2 and I was very pleased. Since that won't fit under the roll bar of the Z, I am selling it and getting a 10W7, can't wiat for it all to be installed next month. I will give you 3 guess's where I am buying my W7 from and the last 2 don't count
(and the Boston's and the Viper Alarm, $255 shipped for a $655 alarm, amazing)

i agree with bastard (such a great name to quote, you bastard
) get the 300/4 for the ability to set up in different ways. the amps are basically the same price anyway. i would have got the 300/4 instead of 300/2 but I got a deal i couldn't refuse from my friend who was selling his car (FREEBIE FREEBIE FREEBIE, ZERO, ZILCH NADA).
the 10w3v2's are pretty good subs. I listen to a lot of rap/hip hop and i'm pretty pleased with their output, though i need to build a bigger box to get them hitting better at the low low frequencies (but my box is way small at something like .5cuft/sub). They won't hit like 12w6v2's though, or even the 12w3v2's. and there is no point in trying to compare them in output to a w7.
also i *might* be able to get a pretty good deal on an avh-p7500dvd. if you want me to find out for you drop me a PM and i'll try and find out in the next couple of days.
