Thinking of getting a system. Wanted to know if I replace the HU, do I need to replace all the speakers? (& Visa-Versa). Also can I connect the stock navi to the aftermarket HU? What size are the F stock spearker and the rears? What size is the stock SUB?

 

i am in no way an audio guy but i have the bose and was wondering the same thing a while back while pondering on buying a dvd, mp3 system. i think the other major drawback of the BOSE is that its not compatible with anything else. 99% of the people changing out the headunit also had to change out the speakers and wiring. if the search is working again you can find a thread that talked about this very thing. i think there was one guy who changed the headunit out and kept the speakers but had to install somekind of converter or something. again i have no knowledge here. just thought i would try and lend a hand since this hasnt gotten any other replies.
