Will ID MAX fit in spare tire compartment?
I know the depth is around 8 inches or so and the height of the wheel well is around 7 inches. I'm curious to know if anyone has actually fit a large depth subwoofer in there and successfully flushmounted it to the trunk floor.
Also, any suggestion on good quality subs that might fit in there would be appreciated! I am currently considering the Image Dynamics ID MAX 12.

You'll definitely have to raise the floor board about 2-3". I raised mine 3/4" and that's with a 10 that is only 5" deep (Boston Pro). Even if you use fiberglass on the bottom you're still looking at a minimum off the floor of 9 or so inches (need at least 1" spacing behind the driver to avoid overheating).
With that said, the IDMAX 10 is an awesome sub and if you can fit it it sure will rock a Z. The Adire Brahma is as well.

Great info guys....I'm also thinking about doing a JL10W6v2 there and was concerned about depth of speaker vs. tire well. I'm guess that setup would be raised as well. Also considered doing a JL12W6v2 which would most definetly require it to be raised up.
