I have a non-bose system, and i need to get some new speakers. What size, and what brand do you guys like the best? Where are the best prices? Can I install new speakers to my stock radio, or should I wait, and get my head unit put in?

 

You can change the speakers without replacing the HU but many won't get the full benifits until you get an aftermarket HU and amp.

 

Front are components 6.5"
Rears are coax 6.5"

Speakers are based on personal preference, some will like the way one sound while other will think is to harsh or too flat.
Go listen to some your self and decide.
It's your car, and you will be the one listenning to it afterall..

Personally, I'm going with Focals polyglass.
PolyKev are better but I cant justify dropping $500+ for a pair.

Like LS350Z said, new speakers alone will not make much diff until you get new HU and amp.

If you dont plan to get amp, try getting a HU with atleast 20watt rms, and some high SPL speakers.. 90+ SPL

 

I have an Alpine DVD flip out screen, and 2 amps. I just wanted to know what speakers you guys like

 

I installed JL Evolution XR 6.5 components in the front and some JL TR series 6.5 coaxes in the back. I think it sounds wonderful, but like a previous poster said, the only way to get a good idea of what you like is to go listen for yourself.

Under $200 I have no idea because I personally would never spend that little. As well, I'm sure someone will say IDs are less then $600 etc.... I'll stick to my above list .

I know I'm forgetting about some but those are my favorites .

 

Getting Infinity Kappas... heard good things about them..

 

I found a set of boston pro speakers. Do all these speakers fit good? I dont want to buy something then have it be to deep or something..

 

I just got the diamond audio component set for $333
and the infinity kappa 3 way for $120

Is this a sweet setup?

 

You will probably need a 3/4" spacer for the front mid.

I listened to Kappa, which sounded really good.
Then I listen to Focals Acess line, and bough the Polyglass series.
Focal sounded clear and clean to me.
