Default How much should this cost/How long will this take?

I am getting my Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X579, Infinity Kappas for the front speakers, and Infinity Basslink installed hopefully next week if I can find an experienced installer in the Nashville area. If all goes well, how long(approx.) should the entire installation take?

No more than a day at the most, if the install shop is experienced with the Z. I can relate, since I have torn my car apart about 20 times now screwing around with components .. adding and removing items. Another thing to remember is that a lot of shops like to cut corners when doing installs, so I would keep on your toes and watch what they do.

Inexperienced dealers may take a couple of days depending on how good of an install you would like.

The door speakers will be real easy to install. No more than 1.5 hours for both ...

The unit, if a metra kit is used should take a couple of hours to install and check ...

Depending on where the basslink goes will determine the final amount of time. If you want it in the BOSE sub location like some members have done, it depends if you want some sort of custom mount to place it on. That can take a bit of time to accomplish. I would make sure that they do not bolt it into the floor panels, since that is the gas tank itself! Make sure they know that. Taking apart the interior to get to that area will take about a half hour for a person familiar with the Z, maybe up to two for a person who is not. Then mounting and all that should take another hour or two.

Mind, these are all really rough estimates. As you can see, it should not take too long to accomplish. Just keep on the shop's a$$ and make sure they do the work right.

That is roughly what I estimated. Problem is, most of the shops around Nashville claim to have little or no experience with the Z. Makes me a bit nervous.
