Hey guys i hooked up 2 rockford fosgate w2 punch 8" and a 500 watt bazooka amp w/ cap. I love the bass but at max vol of 31 it is loud but i want it to be somewhat louder... now many pple said headunit for $415 to make it fit is a bit much, and changing my speakers isnt gonna help that much. So i am looking into getting an amp for the speakers. However i dunno what wattage i should get so can anyone help me. Also if someone can tell me how many speakers r in the car, their sizes, and there peak wattage/rms. THANKS TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP!
I went to the rockford fosgate site and couldn't find the w2 models. However, if you have the specs, get and amp that will push the amount of power the sub would like to see (in rms). As a general rule of thumb, it's $1 per watt. Also, check to see what the amp puts out in rms, not peak.
Hope this helps.
