Default Alpine- 2way or 3way X over setting?

On the switch on the bottom of the HU.

I have mine set to 2 way, with the slopes set flat.

I want full frequency out of the HU, and I want the Kappa X overs to do the work.

Does this sound right?

Can anyone explain the diff between the 2way and 3way?

Also with just the HU installed (9833) and the stock speakers it sounds awful.

barely any mids or lows, is this normal? Front speakers are also alot louder then the rear (they are pointed into the back of the seat, but....)

Anyone else install a new HU first and have it sound as bad as stock or worse?

I have Kappas waiting to go in, but the car has to go to the dealer for window work, so I'm holding off untill there done.

These stock speakers must REALLY suck, because running off the new HU they sound just as bad as stock.
