Default Finally got my PS2 install done! (Pics)

I finally done and pretty happy with the result. I built a small box for the PS2 and mounted the inverted on top and hardwired it to the battery (This saved my cig. lighter, and I don't have to switch the main power every time I get in or out, but I can if I want to while driving to eliminate the fan noise). As you can see there's still even a little room up top for my DVDs, Games or whatever! I also mounted a small video in jack to the left of the PS2 so I can plug in my video camera or whatever. I use the Xenarc 700V 7” LCD which has two video input modes. All the sound is wired to the Sony HU Aux mode. The controllers fit snuggle under the seats for easy access and I can even plugin the PS2 remote if necessary. So there it is, tell me what you thinks all comments welcome!

Looks good, quick question though. Doesn't the Xenarc 700V not have the composite input enabled? I have the 700TS, and I have composite plugs coming out of the screen, but only the VGA input is enabled...wondering if there is a way to get the composite working without having to upgrade to the TSV...

I think that model is more intended for use with an onboard computer than a straight DVD/PS2 hookup. The 700V has only 2 standard RCA video inputs and 1 RCA audio input, no composite or VGA. Also, that monitor may be software selected, meaning if it is anything like my desktop video card (which has both S-Vid and Composite jacks), the software (in my case Nvidia) controls which output function I choose, i.e. S-Video, VGA or Composite out. Does that make sense? You may want to try someone who has more experience with that monitor and the computer hookup to help you.

By composite I meant RCA input, sorry

Yeah, so mine has 2 RCA video inputs, and the VGA input....But only the VGA works

If that's the case you may want to consider returning it. Prior to having it mounted I tested it out on three different sources, my PS2, my DVD player and my VCR. I wanted to not only see the quality, but make sure the LCD works, I had read some postings that people got dead connections or screens so I made sure mine was fine. At the very least try customer assistance, here is the manufacturers website:
http://www.xenarc.com/contact.html
Hope this helps!

I found it new on Ebay for $550.00, and it's the Japanese model (I am still waiting to get the English manual from Dissident). You can find it in stock though through this website (which also has several other double din HU which are very cool looking):

Where do the controls come out? Did you wire them to a set of extension cables (so you can remove them at will) or are they wired to the console?

ok all of that hard work to play one of the worst fighting games ever???

Take 19.99 and head down to your local EB and pick up a copy of Virtua Fighter EVO, and Final Tuned (when it comes out)

Nice job by the way.

They come out under each seat. I bought two 10' extension cords so there's plenty of slack, and are removeable. ALso I can disconect the passenger one and connect the DVD remote sensor if I want to...
