I had the HU professionally installed and they just made a double din black border piece to fill in the gaps. You can order different mounts though, just do a forum search for double din and the Sony HU and there are plenty of links to where you can buy them.

Nice set up on the PS2, you still have storage room. The way mine's set up, the only thing I can fit between the PS2 and the floor is a piece of paper!

Where do you plug the IR receiver, in the passenger side extension cable? Or directly into the PS2? I'm assuming the former, so you don't have to have the storage door open.

I had my installer line the edges of my 700V with black lining to hide the silver edges. You can't really notice them, unless you're a **** rententive like me.
