Default Factory Rear View Camera!!!

I was surfing the web and ran across what appears to be a factory rear view camera from Japan.

Here is the link. It's all in Japanese.

http://www.nissan.co.jp/OPTIONAL-PAR..._choice05.html

Could anybody translate this page into English?

Thanks,
Robert

Some of the FX's and Murano's have these. I've looked @ the setup when we had a FX @ work with the camera. It looks like it would fit right in where your trunk release button is. Then you could just open the trunk with the remote. I don't know if it could be wired into the factory nav screen but those of us with aftermarket screens should not really have any problems. I just don't have a part # or price.

i believe these are available on the JDM 350z's. They also have cameras in the front for seeing blindspots.

I'm in the process of looking for a back-up camera. This would be so stealth!!! Does any know or can they find out what kind of outputs it has? Rca? coaxial? or some special fiting to inteface witht the stock nav?

i have installed a backup camera that activates on the stock NAV screen when I put the car into reverse. you can do a search on my name and "camera" and you should find the thread.

I have seen your thread. I loved your install. I recently bought the av electronics nav-tuner that has backup cam input.
I just can't seem to find a camera with wide-angle lens, color, low lux, high res, and "lip-stick" shape.

What camera did you use?

thanx

I am also attempting to find a decent camera to install. Has anyone tied the license place cameras? Definitely hard to find a decent one. Theyare not in stock in stores that do "carry" them. here is a link to one tht has a license plate cam for 275 ad cam for 225.

I do not know if they are worth the money or not. I have not purchased a camera yet but I am looking at this site. I have the nav system with alpine monitor so I guess all I would need would be the $225 camera they have although it only has 90 degree angle. license plate one has 130 degree angle. If they are decent cameras I would pay that price for them.

Wow I'd love to have the JDM camera.. seems much cleaner than drilling your license plate..

jeff@performancenissan.. is this something you can get ?

It's about $526 dollars just for the camera, color image. http://babelfish.altavista.com/

BTW, I plan on getting something like this and mounting it behind the bumper (front and rear) and drill a very tiny hole for it. http://www.spycameras.com/stealth_cam.htm

Realistically that camera is going to cost an arm and a leg from Nissan, especially if they have to order it from Japan. I figured that if the glovebox that i recently order costed me about $120, this camera is going to cost over $500 (which is what the Japan website has listed).

I wanted this camera so bad, but I recently decided just to order a high quality "lipstick" one to put in my liscence plate, because this camera would be outrageous( if its even attainable).

Any of you guys ever check out www.digitalww.com ?

They sell some rear view cameras to go with aftermarket screens. I don't know how big or small they are but one of the models they have seems pretty small.
