Pioneer AVIC-N1 ($1549) Should I buy it?
I am looking for DVD/Navigation unit for my Z and for the wife's Maxima. I might just get it for the Maxima first to see if I like it.
Is this a good deal? ($1549.00) In-Dash DVD Multimedia AV Navigation Receiver 6.5" touch screen Full-color Vehicle Dynamics Displays - allows you to visually monitor your vehicle's performance on-screen. Gauges showing acceleration, cornering, speed, and more
So it tracks your track use also, hmmm.
Even has back-up camera split screen use too.
Any other better deals out there, ect?

Anyone purchased from online car stereo before?
Also found it here for $1549.99 http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?...ore=&catid=377
Please help me decide.
I was thinking of buying this off a forum member but not sure when it comes to used electronics.

Last ?, I saw this nav unit for $2019.00, hmmm. http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?...ore=&catid=377
Thanks for any help

Well I bought it today and I purchased the Pioneer CD-VC1 Voice Command Pack for an extra $44.95. I hope it didn't come with that.
Did I miss any other options or installation items?
Now my next step is too convince the wife to let me put it in the Z first, she wants it in the Maxima first.
Anyone know where to get a back-up camera? I found this camera at crutchfield for $249. Seems kinda pricey but it goes with this particular unit. Pioneer ND-BC1
Rear-view camera

Also should I move my Pioneer 9300 CD player to the lower din slot, and put the DVD/Navigation above it. I have a 6-disc changer in the back so I am good for listening to CD's.
Thanks for any advice.

Here's a pic of the speed, voltage, ect. Looks pretty cool
When you're driving, you can have the screen display several vehicle dynamics specs. These include acceleration, lateral G-force, speed, angular velocity, and vehicle slope angle. I think this feature will get me into some trouble.

It doesn't say in the specs. I don't think it does.
Here's a hands on review of the system.

But the installers here want $325 to install, WTF. Is that about right for the install price?
Well I called the other store (they have 3 of them in my city) and the first store wanted $325, so I called the other store and they want $250, WTF?
I think I will wait until after the install and call the other store and speak to the manager and find out why they are ripping customers off.

In my opinion.........
I don't like the pop up screen. That's why I changed my headunit from pioneer 6500 to pioneer 7500 and finally to an Eclipse avn2454. The pioneer screen is very blurry compared to the Eclipse hu. The eclipse hu is very visible under direct sunlight. If you install a pop up screen, it will interfere with the factory nav door. The pioneer software is very sloooowww also compared to the eclipse.
On the other hand, the performance meter thingy on the avic is very cool. The pioneer nav is better than the eclipse. The pioneer screen is a tad bit wider than the eclipse. You can't hide the eclipse screen from the thieves.
Hope this helps

$1500 is a good price, but that install price seems steep. i'm not exactly sure but i believe the shop i am working at charges $150 for install on that (when the unit is bought at the store though). again i'm not 100% sure though.

Well I was supposed to have my unit in yesterday, after checking their website and calling them, they stated they still have not received the item in, WTF.
So I canceled my order. Might get one later, but pretty mad, cause I wanted Nav for my upcoming road trip.
