Default dimensions and pics of exposed double din stereo slot...

I saw the great post with the pics of the exposed NAV cubby, but does anyone have the dimensions and pics of the double din stereo slot?

I'm thinking of replacing the Bose head unit with a car PC and would use this space to store the machine, if it's deep enough.

Thanks in advance.

Seeing as the first (and maybe only) indash PC here, I can tell you that you have about 7" depth. You'll not be able to fit a PC in without modification to both the PC and the Car. Behind the stereo is the Air condition pump/tubes, which channels the air out to the vents, hence no cutting allowed.

My PC

It's doable, but extremely hard install/mod

so is it impossible or doable?

what case did you use for your single din? Custom faceplate? Any docs or detail that you could share?
