who has built a sub box in the stock location?
I am going to start building a box in the stock sub location and would like to get any input from people who have already done this. Most importantly what are the best materials to do this task to ensure that this thingdoes not rattle and produces the best sound possible. Also i have not heard one in this location and I know it will deaden the sound a little bit yet i want to make sure it still will sound good. Any Suggestions? Pictures? Or how to's on building this box?

sub box
I dont have any pitures, but I did build a box for a 10w6 v2 JLAudio sub in the factory loc. the box was .625 cuft with the angled front, the sub fires to the back of my seat, sounds awesome.the only problem I ran into was after I built the box,I had a hard time getting it to fit in the loc.I had to bend the sheet metal a little bit,but its behind the cover panel so you dont see it.If you try this loc I recomend serious dynamat because of the big open cavity,it echoes a little. If your interested in doing something like that in a sealed box,I would be glad to help you some more, even try to get some pitures. Its definetly worth it,very clean bass for good sound quality,if your looking for big ,loud, heavy bass, you need a ported box and that wont work in that location.

I went with the alpine 10" type R installed behind the seat with a accu class d v12 m500 amp installed under the seat. hopefully this thing will sound good

I built a box for the 8" polk audio sub. It has got a ton of base. The box just fits in with the right amount of volume for the sub per the polk audio recomendations. I think if you do a search on my350z for me ohio350z you can pull the pick
