AVIC-N1 owners
The place were I bought mine just phoned me today and said the Pioneer rep was in, and dropped off new software.
He told me to bring the old disks back, and to pick up the new ones, free.
So one, there is new software, two, don`t let them charge you for it.

Yeah I just found this out yesterday. I just bought mine over the DAMN internet last week through Etronics.com
I will call them on Monday and see what they say.
Anyone else think they will give me the new discs?
BTW, those discs are not cheap!

Can you tell me what version the new disks are. I just got mine, and have version 1.1. Is that the latest?

v1.1 is the latest. If you bought the AVIC-N1 with v1.0 and had registered your product with Pioneer, they would have sent you the dvd's in mail for free. Note that it only fixes some bugs and (as far as I can tell) there are no new features and the map data has not changed at all.
