I did the molding work myself and had a body shop shoot the paint to match. I have written a How-To for those interested. Let me know what you think.

This looks like a lot of work went into it and I can appreciate the effort... kudos to you!!!
but there's always something that I don't like about about a painted Z dash.. the black gauges on top, climate control buttons, radio and nav lid button always looks out of place..
with that in mind, I think this would really look great in a shiny "piano black" lacquer.. the gauges, nav lid button, radio and climate control would match better..
just an opinion..

For those interested, the How-To is posted on my website. I am not allowed to mention it here

Yes i used bondo to smooth out the dash. It only took about a day of work to get it just right

I am also in the middle of reformatting my how-to site to be easier to follow..
oops missed your comment! I got the white z about 2 weeks after my wreck.. so some time in april, almost exactly 1 year from my first z purchase
oh, nice. When did you get that new Z?
I wanted to do something along the same lines. However, I just want to pull out the stock radio and install the screen flush. Is that a permanent install though? Would I be able to take the screen out if I wanted to trade the car in and re-install the stock stereo?
nice job!
cbduece... i did what you wanted to do and yea its permanent. Im from socal as well. If u want to ever take a look at it hit me up. I got pics linked in my sig, just search around in there.
