Default Valentine One Concealed Display in Nav Compartment?

I "borrowed" this image from ZPilott. I'm thinking about having the V1 in the back like everyone else.

Was wondering how many other people have this setup?

What are the pros/cons?

And how hard is it? and I'm assuming it's run to fusebox?

Thanks for all the expert advice.

I'd TOTALLY go that route . . . but my NAV door (2004 Enthusiast) doesn't retract into the dash.

Would the radar still work in that position though?

that is the concealed display - it is a "remote display" that hooks up the the radar

I'd most likely put the actual radar in the rear window like everyone else. Do you think it hides the V1 well? I street park in boston and I am worried about theft - not very worried but worried nevertheless. I wish I could have bought the V1 with my American Express card or something that protects against theft. My car insurance obviously won't

you have no idea its there, unless you know to look for it, and you bend down and lookinto your car. Who looks for detectors there anyways? You will be fine. I did the stealth install by rahtok found here https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=33744
Its the best install i feel. You can keep your eyes on the road, and its pretty much hidden. Do it and you wont regret it.

hmmm... I liked that install too.

Too bad I wasn't high roller enough to get the V1 in the rearview mirror. Now that looks good. Or the V1 in the instrument panel - I know that the new E46 M3s had a kit that let you put those arrows and stuff in the instrument panel. Or maybe replace the trip computer - or program it so that it would be "another screen" in the trip computer.

Now that would be the best - anyone want to program the V1 to interface with the trip computer somehow???
