Default Pioneer AVIC-N1 memory issue

For you AVIC-N1 owners out there,

I am talking about the beep setting when you touch the buttons. I have to manually silence it each time the unit is turned on.

Is this a wiring issue, I have checked the manual and scrolled through all the menus.

That beep is annoying.

Also, I just bought the unit and it came with the Vol 1.0 discs. Shouldn't I received the Vol 1.1 discs?

I bought it online?

I will try and contact Pioneer on Monday.

U should have 1.1 disks, but I've heard that if you register the unit, they send you new disks--if they didn't, just ask pioneer.

What about the beeping? Does anyone know because that would be extremely annoying to have to set every time and I am considering purchasing this unit.

The v1.1 update fixes the beeping problem. As the other poster said, if you register with Pioneer, they'll send you the update for free.
