Question Aftermarket H/U to factory Bose???

Has anyone hooked up an aftermarket unit to the existing Bose seperates?? Are their any tricks, harnesses, etc.??? Can you keep the sub in play?? I will replace the entire system at some point, but would like to just replace the unit first. Looking at the Kenwood DDX7015.
THANKS

save up for the whole thing. The stock speakers blow, and you will spend more money or time(depending on who does install) wiring and rewiring your car. Just my 2cents.

A few things:

Can the stock wires that connect all the speakers and what not be used to connect aftermarket stuff?

Also, despite being a member for some time and reading tons of posts, I havent gotten a simple answer to what dunby is asking: what does one need to just change the HU and keep everything else stock?

Shoot I posted asking the same question at the end of another thread before finding this one... I'd like to know the same info as well if anyone out there has experience with this.
