i want to keep the stock headunit, but i have subs and an amp from my last car and i would like to put them in, how would i do that, is it possible to keep the stock unit,
Use an amp that accepts high level inputs. OR there is a conversion that converts your speaker wires into rca's. I think this piece can be bought at radio shack.

and how hard do u think it is?
thanks
just get a line converter. You only need one since the sub is mono. Should have 3 wires, 2 for a speaker lead and one for ground (not necessary). It's easier to tap from the rear speaker, but you'll have to pull a few panels off (which I assume you will to install the amp and sub).
Not too hard, but do a search and you'll see more pictures and details on Line Converter and sub installs.
